Following the Second World War, haute couture saw a decline compared to its previous prominence. The emergence of boutiques during the 1960s in various cities worldwide, like new fashion hubs of Milan and Tokyo, catered to the preferences of young individuals with vibrant and affordable ready-to-wear options. Despite the decline of haute couture, it still remains as a luxurious necessity. Fashion design has been influenced by post-modernism, characterized by seemingly disconnected yet carefully balanced juxtapositions. However, the overarching feature of fashion design lies in its diversity.
