Kishio Suga: Home

Introduction

Kishio Suga is a Japanese artist born in 1944. He's known for his sculptures and installations. Suga is part of the Mono-ha movement, which started in the late 1960s. This movement uses natural and industrial materials in their original forms to show how they interact with each other. Suga's art often includes objects like stone, steel, glass, and wood, arranged in ways that highlight their relationships. His work is shown in places like the Museum of Contemporary Art Tokyo and Dia Beacon. Suga's art explores deep ideas about how materials exist and relate to their surroundings.

The M+ Collection features his works, such as "Untitled" (1975), and photographs of his work by photographer Anzai Shigeo.
