Introduction

For centuries, sculptures have served as a significant form of artistic expression. They encompass three-dimensional works of art created through various techniques, such as carving wood or stone, casting metal, molding clay or wax, using rubber, glass, or assembling materials.  In contemporary times, the art of sculpture no longer confines itself to specific materials or techniques.   Rather, it is regarded as a branch of the visual arts that focuses on the creation of form in three dimensions.  The essence of sculpture lies in two key elements: mass and space.  Every sculpture is composed of a material substance that possesses mass and exists within the realm of three-dimensional space.
